Tree Spraying Initiative

Ongoing campaign. Started in September of 2024, many large mature trees in Zamalek are badly infected with mealyworm sickness (which causes leaves to fall and leaves a white, sticky residue on trees). Many thanks to the West Cairo District and Cairo Beautification Authority for providing trained manpower and necessary equipment. Our gratitude also to Mrs. Hoda El Kosheiri for her dedication and perseverance in working on this initiative. Unfortunately, this infection is widespread and still affects many trees in Zamalek which need to be treated. ZAD hopes to continue the campaign to spray all the trees that need it, and we are counting on continued cooperation with residents and the authorities to achieve this goal.
