Tree Planting Project
A major initiative to restore and expand the green canopy along one of Zamalek’s most important thoroughfares. Working with the local governorate, we are planting over 50 mature trees selected for their resilience to Cairo’s climate and their aesthetic contribution to the streetscape.
Tree Spraying Initiative
Ongoing campaign. Started in September of 2024, many large mature trees in Zamalek are badly infected with mealyworm sickness (which causes leaves to fall and leaves a white, sticky residue on trees). Square Tree Planting Project
Transforming a key public square into a lush, shaded gathering space. This project includes the planting of native and ornamental species alongside seating improvements and irrigation upgrades.
Pedestrian Traffic Improvement
Redesigning critical intersections to improve pedestrian safety and reduce congestion. The project includes new crosswalks, traffic calming features, and better signage to create a safer walking environment.
